Orange and poppy seed oats

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups traditional rolled oats
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp mixed spice
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 orange, peeled, diced, to serve

DIRECTIONS

Step 1

Combine the oats, milk, orange juice, mixed spice, poppy seeds and 1/2 the honey in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring, for 10 minutes or until porridge is thick and creamy. Remove from heat. Stand for 2 minutes.

Step 2

Divide porridge among serving bowls. Drizzle with remaining honey. Top with orange zest and diced orange. Serve.
